When I first started painting figures, I was having trouble finding my own voice and color palette.  My instructor at the time suggested I look at my paintings of beaches and take inspiration from that. Her reasoning was, I loved my beach paintings, and didn’t struggle with that color palette, so maybe the same could apply to my figures. She was brilliant in her suggestion.  Hence the title of this piece.
