Artist Statement

I am an internationally collected artist, with my art hanging in client’s homes in North America, Europe, Australia and Africa. I was chosen to participate in Sony’s The Talented project.. And in 2009 Orange County, California voted me Best Visual Artist for OC Magazine’s Best of Edition.

The intention for my work is to help people connect with the beauty already present in their life. And in particular the sensual beauty of themselves, their sexy bodies and their relationship.

Recently at a show a woman stopped in front of my booth with her young daughters, and pointed to my female series. She said to her girls “See – there is nothing to be ashamed of.  The female body is Beautiful.” To me, this is one of the reasons for my work, to highlight the beauty of the human body. And to remind the world that human embodiment is meant to be enjoyed.

Every woman has within her a sexy flirty sex-goddess. And every man a sexy greek god at the ready.. if only we ask them to appear.. Our own unique versions of Aphrodite and Adonis waiting to be explored, shown off and created with.

I want my art to encourage you to ask: What flirty, sexy fun can we have today? What sensual pleasures await? Be it something as obvious as sex, or as luscious as a mouth watering piece of chocolate. Or the sensual touch of velvet or silk under our fingers.. What joys can we create today that add to the sensual sexiness of life?

I’m inspired by the process in my art, the translation of a feeling or an idea as it evolves through my pieces. Every piece I create has an intent and an emotion behind it’s creation.

I desire my art to do more than simply add beauty to a space. I want you to smile, and find the sexy flirty sensual person inside. And to happily celebrate her or him – in and out of the bedroom.

So while I paint what I love and what I find beautiful, I’m striving for more. I hope that by looking at my paintings you will see the beauty in life captured in a moment. And look for similar moments to create in your own life.

I generally create in my home studio using acrylic paints and either canvas or watercolor paper.  And unlike some artists, I cannot paint on just one piece – so at any given time my studio has many paintings in various stages of creation. At times my studio looks like a Vegas scene with portraits of couples and individuals in various states of undress all being created at once. Some might call it chaos, I just know it works for me.

~ Thank you for stopping by my site.  Send me an email to say Hi or if you would like to have one of my pieces for your collection.
